Why buy Roses from us?
Roses come from many Growers around the world. Most of our roses come from South. America which is known for its High Growing Standard. Roses are sold in Graded lots with number 8 being the highest. Pushing Petals only buys this Grade. Roses found in Grocery stores are usually Grade 5 or lower and this is why they last just a few days.

Let’s talk about what Happens To a Rose from the moment it is picked

Most Roses are picked 4-5 days before we get them, They are dry packed and put in coolers. Before they arrive at our shop we have to disinfect everything-this means the walls ceiling and floor of our cooler as well as all of the containers that hold them. Roses and other flowers are very sensitive to bacteria so everything has to be very clean.

As soon as they arrice they are cut and immediately put into a special hydrating solution for 1hour. Then their guard petals are removed as well as all of the excess foliage and thorns, recut and put into another feeding solution.

After 2-3 hours they are ready for the cooler and then sold. So now you know why quality roses cost more – all of this work is hand done so that we can offer you the best quality possible. Under the right conditions, our Roses last 8-10days.
